Great concert!

Went to Leo Ku's and Miriam Yeung's concert on last Saturday. A very great concert indeed as both of them are very talented singers and their songs are just great. Miriam is really a very sweet and pretty girl and she was very funny too. Leo Ku is cute and handsome. Oh "just deeply in love" with both of them. Two thumbs up for the whole concert. Justin was the guest of honour for the concert. Anyway, too lazy to write too much. Didn't blog for quite sometime, too many things that I would like to blog about but I just don't have the mood and the time to blog it. For the time being, enjoy the photos that I took in the concert...hehehe.

On Friday night, Chun Nee, Cheng Ghee and I went to a very virtuous place, which is monastery. The purpose of the visit was not for praying or anything. Just got to know from Cheng Ghee that the monastery was nicely decorated for the past Chinese New Year celebration. The purpose of the visit was to have some snapshots. The monastery is called Fo Guang Shan (FGS) Dong Zen Monastery is located at Jenjarom, near Banting, Selangor. It was about 30-45 minutes drive from Bukit Tinggi, Klang. Before reaching there, my mind was still thinking that the monastery is not much difference with any other monasteries that I went before, either in Malaysia, Singapore of Australia. Upon reaching there, I could see the lights that were decorated on the roof. By just looking at the lights, I could imagined how big the monastery is. Chun Nee and I were really mesmerized. Both of us were like...Wowww...so huge! Ok, to be honest, I never put any high hope before I went there. So, I was really fascinated by this monastery. Thought this kind of monastery can only be found in China. Two thumbs up for this FGS Dong Zen. Here are some of the pictures that we managed to take. No much time for us to walk around as it is closed at 10.00pm and we only arrived there at around 9.15pm.

Life is so difficult

My dearest LKC is too smart in calculating every cents and dollars. Before he left for Phillipines, we already had a gift-meal system. So, what is this gift-meal system? It is a system whereby when he purchases something for me, I will have to pay him back a meal in exchange of the present. During the CNY, we went to purchase Leo Ku's and Miriam Yeung's concert tickets. The tickets cost us around RM500. In exchange of the tickets, I have to pay him back 3 meals. So, when we came back to KL after the CNY holiday, I already paid him back one dinner at the Esquire Kitchen. So only left 2 meals that I need to clear off.

Ok...so today, I had to bargain with him for the meals that I owed him. Here's our conversation for this evening:-

LKC: I bought you 3 Guess T-Shirts, costs around RM200. So, this will be your valentine's day presents. What did you get for me for valentine's day?

Me: Eh...I haven't got anything for you. Why not I treat you a dinner.

LKC: OK. One piece is very nice one, I like it very much, I'm sure you'll like it too.

Me: What if I don't like it?

LKC: I'm sure you'll like it. If you like it, then another 1 meal for me.

Me: Cheh...I can choose not to tell you even if I like it.

LKC: If you wear it, that means you like it.

Me: Huh...where got such thing. 1 meal = 1 meal. Like that I don't want the shirts lerr...you go and sell it to other people ler.

LKC: You're sure you don't want ar...very nice one wor...you'll like it one wor...

Blah blah blah...yada yada yada...So, the conversation went on until I managed to bargain for 3 shirts = 1 meal. So, in exchange of the 3 pieces of Guess T-Shirts (Valentine's Day present from LKC), I will have to treat him for a dinner. But in this morning, I "purposely" deducted one meal from him for blaming him borrowing my notebook to his colleague without my permission. So now has became 1 meal left over (from the concert). From the balance of 1 meal being carried forward, I'm owing him 2 meals now (1 for concert, and 1 for the v day dinner).

LKC: I bought a lot of dried mangoes, 6 packets. I'll give it to you in exchange of 1 meal. Ok? So, now 4 meals.

Me: Where got 4? Just now only 2 meals.

LKC: No ar...3 lar.

Me: 2 lar...minus off this morning, you borrowed my notebook to your colleague.

LKC: Wah...so lan si. Ok ok. 1 pack of dried mangoes in exchange of 1 meal. I'll give u 2. So another 2 meals. I'll give your mother another 2. So add another 2 meals. So become 6 meals now.

Me: Wahh..your dried mangoes very expensive ar?

LKC: Ya lar...very tasty one. The phillipines export the dried mangoes. Really very nice one ar. You try one, you'll sure ask for more.

Me: You give me some discounts first.

LKC: Ok lor...2 packets in exchange of 1 meal. Deal?

Me: No...3 packets for 1 meal? How much is a packet?

LKC: Around RM10 lor.

Me: Ok, then just nice. 3*RM10. Just nice for a meal.

LKC: Wah...cannot give you all. Later not enought to give your mum. I give you 2 packets, then 2 for your mum.

Me: Then 4 packets for 1 meal lor. I treat you a bit more expensive meal. A bit only ar.

LKC: Ok deal, humpss...talk to you like fish market. Have to bargain. So now 3 meals ar. Deal...seal. Hey, what if I give you coins, pens and souviners, can I exchange for 1 more meal?

Me: I give you back Australia's one. We exchange the sourvenirs.

LKC: Huh...I don't want Australia's one wor.

Me: You cannot choose.

Oh gosh, it's so tiring "bargaining" with this too smart LKC. There are some bargaining sessions after that, but I'm just too tired to write it somemore. Sigh...luckily, after all the bargains, I only owe him 3 meals. It's worthy to fight with him...hehehehe

It's the time of the year again, it's 14th February today -- The Valentine's Day. What are you guys planning to do tonight? Happy Valentine's Day to those who are going to celebrate it. To those who are not going to celebrate it, don't be upset as you are not alone here. I am not going to celebrate this year's valentine's day as well. What's the meaning of valentine's day? Sometimes why do we care about this kind of occassions so much? Why can't we just stay at home and don't bother it's Valentine's day? Everyday can be a valentine's day if you are rich enough to go out for candle-lit dinner and being a santa-claus that will never run out of ideas of what gifts to buy for your loved one. Guys, please read the blog at the bottom which is copied from Xiaxue's blog. Totally agreed to what she wrote there.

The End of CNY

Yesterday, 15th day of CNY and also known as Chap Goh May, was the last day of CNY. No more ang pow can be collected, no more excuse to gamble, no more CNY songs playing on air, no more excuse to buy new clothes and shoes...sigh. There won't be anymore holiday mood (although, I didn't feel any since started to work last week) but at least you could still tell people that it's still CNY, sigh...not for today onwards. Checked on calendar...the next holiday will be on 11th April. Oh my gosh, what a loooooonnnng way to go.

I found this very interesting and would like to share with you guys.

Imagine yourself driving along on a wild stormy night. You pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:1. An old lady who is about to die.2. An old friend who once saved your life.3. The perfect man (or) woman you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car. You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life,and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However; you may never be able to find your perfect dream lover again.

Answers could vary depending on the personality. However; there is a perfect answer. If you are a person who would think "out of the box" you would answer: "I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the old lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the woman (or man if you are a woman) of my dreams."

I would like to choose the old lady as she is going to die. But when I read at the answer...I was liked...yeah hor...why I never thought of that. I showed this personality test to some of my friends and their reaction was just exactly like me. Isn't it amazing? Why didn't we think of this answer?

Happy 4th Anniversary!

Today, 8th of February 2006 is the 4th year I'm attached to my dearest LKC. The 8th of February 2002 was the day where we went out officially as a couple. It was the first day where we held each other hands. Went for a movie on that night. "Marry a rich man" is the first movie that we watched together. Cannot really recall what else we did on that night. Oh yeah...something to add on. LKC reminded me after reading this blog. He said "Sure you don't remember what we did after movie? That was when you fell into the trap and got cheated by me for four years...muahahaha". It's already 4 years. Time really really really flies. To be honest, we had never celebrated our anniversary or valentine's day before. We never get the chance to celebrate it together...very sui. Something will happen on this day for sure. The first anniversary...my lips were swollen cause I banged myself to the glass sliding door at my home. Luckily the glass didn't not break, if not it was not just my lips got swollen. The second anniversary...we were separated thousands miles apart. I was in Australia on that year. The third anniversary which was last year...hmm...cannot remember what happened. I got Diarrhea or fever or something like that. And for the fourth anniversary...sigh...no chance to celebrate it again. We are far apart again. He's in Phillipines now...sigh. What a "tragedy".

Sigh...I'm back to work after a week of holiday. 1 week of holiday is never enough for me. Time flies...with just a blink of eyes, it's the 10th day of CNY. Everyone was busy preparing for the CNY since a month ago, the CNY just passed without you could even notice it. Had a great one-week holiday. Basically, done nothing much. Eat, sleep, drink and gamble. Met some friends whom I only meet once a year. Had some great chats with them. Came back to KL on Saturday evening and went to 1-Utama for dinner. Walked around and bought this. Nice? That's me and my LKC... hehehe

On Sunday morning, LKC left to Phillipines for 2 weeks training. In the evening, went to Chun Nee's place for a small gambling session...hehehe won RM32...thanks to Cheng Ghee for the "donation"...hehehe. Everyone was a winner except Cheng Ghee...kekeke. I don't think I lose or win any money for this Chinese New Year. That's great...well, at least I didn't take friends' money and my friends didn't take money. As long as everyone is happy, it is more than enough already.

Congratulation!

Hahahaha…good news! Good news! I’m a confirmed staff already! No more probation! CONFIRMED…yes! Went back to office yesterday to get the “big envelope” from the boss. Thought just need to meet the boss for the performance review, hahaha…mana tahu, received the good news. I was actually still under probation until mid of February, but the boss gave me an early confirmation. So as at 1st Jan 2006, I’m a confirmed staff already…yahoo!

Holiday mode

Seems like everyone is getting less "productive" in blogging lately including myself. There is nothing much I can write lately. Nothing really special happened lately. What can I talk about today? Hmm...*thinking**thinking**thinking*...talking about my jobs? Neh...not much interesting topics to talk about. My life? I already mentioned in my previous blog that I-am-a-boring-person. So, there's nothing much to talk about as well. Hmmm...oh yes, lets talk about the coming CNY.

It's 20th today, that means the CNY is only 8 days away. Oh time really flies. Still remember 3 weeks back, we were all celebrating the New Year on the 1st January and soon we will be celebrating CNY which is just around the corner. Just like the chinese's saying..."a blink of eye" and it's CNY already.
There will be some slight changes in this CNY. I was still a student till last year, and I'm a career gal now. A career gal, you know! So what's the big deal for being a career gal? Sigh...how I wish I could turn back time and I will always be a student. Life being a career gal is not as good as imagine. My dad used to give me money to buy my new year clothes every year until last year. And the best part was the money will be kept on increasing every year. How good is that, isn't it? Being a career gal meaning that you have to give money to your parents instead of your parents giving you money. I did not have to think about this all these while but not for this year...sigh. I've been working for 5 months already, but all these while I had not been bringing any money home...sigh, a useless daughter. I have been saving the money and I'm planning to give my parents a big "ang pow"...hahaha...try to imagine, if I were to give them money every month, lets say RM100 per person per month. It's not that nice to see right? But if I were to give them a lump sum of money, lets say RM500 per person for this CNY, isn't it looks nicer? With a little bit of accounting knowledge left, I think this way is better. At least, my mum will be proud to tell her friends that "my daughter gave me Rm500 for CNY..."...hahaha...silly me!

The meaning of CNY is changing as my age increases. When I was young, CNY to me was "ang pow", "ang pow" and "ang pow", nothing else except "ang pow"...oh yeah, of course not to forget new clothes and firecrackers. For now, CNY is more than that...it's about family reunion. Since I had left home to further my studies 6 years ago, CNY is the only time where my whole family sits together to have dinner. My brother used to work in Singapore and he only came home during CNY. So, I really appreciate this period of the year. Now my brother is back to Ipoh but my sister and I are working in KL and both of us hardly go back to Ipoh nowadays. We make it a must to go home for CNY even we have to stuck in the jam for many hours. My family is getting bigger and bigger. For the last CNY, I have a sister-in-law and for this year I have a niece who is already 4 months old now. The house is getting crowded but I'm feeling very excited about it. Can wait for the CNY to come! Counting down now...

Leo Ku + Miriam Yeung Concert

Leo Ku and Miriam Yeung are back to Malaysia to have their joint concert on the 25th Feb 2006 in Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil. Still remember that LKC and I went to Leo Ku’s concert in Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands on the 3rd of September 2005. In less than 6 months, he is back for another concert. Miriam Yeung was in Malaysia for a concert also last year, but I did not manage to go. Hmm…guess this joint concert will be one of the most happening concerts in 2006. I, guess 80%, will be going to this concert. Anyone interested in going to this concert? Oh gosh, too much of entertainment will make Lisan a step nearer to becoming a bankruptcy…sigh. Money...money...money...why is it so important in our life?

I-am-a-boring-person

I was having lunch with Fei Yee (as usual) and Judy just now. Judy was saying that she feels sleepy after lunch. So do I. But Fei Yee suddenly came out a point saying that if she were allowed to surf the net whole day (during working hours, of course), she won't feel sleepy at all. So I asked her a question, what's so nice? I can surf the net whole day, but there isn't any nice websites for me to surf. I still feel sleepy. So, now I'm back from lunch. I was too free. I actually tried to find out what are the websites that I will always go when I'm connected to the Internet. What are the screens that I'll look at everyday. And I actually found out that I'm a quite routine kinda person.

I'm back to work after a long weekend "holiday". Been on MC since Thursday and only back to work on Wednesday. Cool huh? It was a bit hard for me to get up this morning. Been sleeping late and getting up late for the past few days. Things seem to be a bit different today. Got a new colleague today. I do not know how long she will be in F&N. Does this mean I will be transferred to some other projects? Hmmm...no idea. And the worst bad was I don't have my own desk anymore...sigh. I have to share the desk with another 2 "strangers". That's the worst part for being placed at customer's site. No fixed desks for us. Got to move here and there. Sigh.
I'm feeling very sleepy now. Used to take afternoon nap at this time for the past few days. 3 and a half hours more to go before I call it a day at work. Anythings for me to do? Any nice websites to surf? Oooohhh...so sleepy...*yawning*...ZZzzz

Home Sweet Home!

"There is no place like home".

This is the best phrase to describe how I am feeling now. I'm back to Ipoh since Thursday. You must be thinking...Thursday?? Not need to work meh?? Yes, that's right. NO NEED TO WORK. Nahh...not because I'm being fired or holiday or whatsoever of reasons. It's just that I'm on MC leave. You must be thinking again...This Lisan must be cheating for MC again. Ahem...I need to clarify this...I ain't lazy, I ain't cheating for MC. I was forced to go on MC..."thanks" to the Project Manager. I "was" and actually "am" still having flu, cough and sore throat. To be honest, I was fit for work but with just some coughing once in a few minutes. No big deal right? But "thanks" to the "kiasi"ness (afraid of dying, in case you don't understand Hokkien) of the PM, he forced me to go on MC...worrying that I will spread the germs to him. Oh gosh...are you that weak? In a sense, it was good to go on MC as who doesn't like holidays? Right? But in another sense, I felt bad also as I already on-leave for the past few days due to my sickness. But I couldn't do anything since he called to the HR and informed them that I was "really" sick. So, I just followed as what he said. Went to a medical centre in Tmn Tun...OMG, for the first time in my life, I paid RM89 for the consultation and medicines....soooo expensive. But luckily, can claim the company...hehehe.

CNY is coming...that means it's the time for me to do something to my hair. For the past few years, I straightened my hair and trimmed a bit here and there. So as this year...straightened my hair but with one exceptional. Not just trimmed, but cut my fringe. Have a look at my latest hairstyle and give an opinion. I feel that I look quite fat in the photo. Do I?

Feel like blogging, but just don't know what to blog. Nothing much special happened for the past few days. Life goes on as usual. Oh yeah...something interesting happened to me. Got my December pay slip today...guess what...I received bonus! Unbelievable. Although it's not much, not even 1 month bonus...but quite satisfied. Can't believe that they gave me bonus this year. I have only worked for less than 5 months and I'm still under probation. Not bad huh...work harder for the coming quarter review. Hopefully I can get at least 1 month bonus for this coming March review. Gam ba teh!
