Say NO to Coffee!

0 comments

Oh my oh my....look at the time now...it's 5am right now and why am I still awake at this odd hour? I should have been sleeping very soundly at this hour but not on tonight. It's all because of the stupid cup of coffee that I drank yesterday evening at Star Cruises. The power of caffeine is really "wow"...I had the coffee in between 3-6pm and it can keep me stay awake after 12 hours. My disgestion system is slow or what??!!
It has been such a long time since I last drank coffee...guess it had been more than 3 years since the last time I really had a cup of coffee for myself. Why do I remember so clearly the last time I took coffee? It is because I have not been a student for close to 2 years now. That means no burning midnight oil for close to 2 years. Never had my coffee back in Australia...only Milo...Milo...Milo.
Ok I got to admit, I was a better student when I was in Australia...still burnt midnight oil during exam period but not so much of "last-minute" studies. Not so much of keeping awake whole night long just to study for the exam except for the very last exam paper that I sat as a student.
I was a "just-in-time" (that's how LKC described) student way back to Inti College. Doubled-coffee (2 packs of Nescafe 3-in-1 in a go) could really kept me awake whole night long during the exam period but I will never ever finish the whole syllabus even till the very last minute before entering the exam hall. Without Nescafe, I guess I'd have failed most of the papers. But it wasn't a pleasant experience at all because my hands were shaking most of the time and always felt like vomitting throughout the night and also not to forget, going in and out from the toilet due to my allergy to dairy products (Nescafe contains creamer...creamer, I think is made off some dairy thingy)
After not touching the books (the educational type of books, I mean) for such a long period, I never really had to stay awake whole night long. (Going out to have fun...surely not counted lah! ) But soon, I will have to stay awake during the weekends because the migration project for Star Cruises will be starting in a week time. My work will only start on the late evening till dawn the next day. Guess Nescafe will be the best way to help me to stay awake during this period of time.
I learnt a lesson today - Say NO to Coffee if I don't intend to stay awake whole night long. It kills...I mean, it really kills. No kidding.

Holidays

Wow, I'm blogging from my Ipoh home. Got Streamyx installed at my Ipoh home now. I can online at anytime now even when I'm back to Ipoh.
Well, I just got back from my holiday to Betong, Thailand. It wasn't my plan to go there in the first place. I planned to go to either Pulau Pangkor or Cameron Highlands but ended up when to Thailand. Mum called and informed me that my brother will be going to Betong on Monday and asked whether I would like to follow or not. Since I hadn't been to this place before, so why not?
Our journey to Betong started at 2pm on Monday and we drove for almost 3 hours from Ipoh. Betong is not famous for anything except for the "terrorist attacks", the red light districts and also the communists. There isn't much things to do over there, except eat, massage and prostitutions. Didn't take much photos as there isn't anything special. Went to a communist village named "Yau Yee Chuen" (Friendship Village) and walked a tunnel built by the communist back in 1977. Learnt a little bit of the history but not going to blog about it here since my history is a "limited company" and I don't seem to remember very well no matter how hard I try. Will upload the photos when I'm free.
Oh...it's already Tuesday, few more days I'll have to go back to the hell aka KL. A boring and stressful place. Sigh...I should really enjoy my one week holiday. Oh yeah, it's the Nine Goddess Month now. Might be going to the Tow Boo Keong tonight to "jip sun". Signing off now...happy holiday!

I've been logging in to this blogger for many times. There are so many things that I would like to blog about. I want to blog about this and about that

I can't blog about that because I know that person will read my blog. For sure, he'll know I'm complaining about him in my blog and I don't know what will he do to me. There won't be any advantages to me if he knows about it. To play safe, better don't blog about that.
I want to blog about this but not too sure whether this thing is true or not. If it's not true, then I might be making a rumour, which I think better don't blog about this also. Some people might find this something to proud off, but some might think that it's so shameful. I'm not very close with both of them, so I don't really know how do they look at this matter. But I guess, to them, it's something to be very proud off, because I knew about it through somewhere very popular and it can be accessed by many many people. To play safe again, I'm not going to blog about this too.
As a conclusion, you can just ignore this post as I've not been blogging about anything but it's too late to ignore this post right now if you manage to read until this point. Oh yes...something just came to my mind. I haven't introduce my new friend to you all.

Happy mid autumn festival!

0 comments

Tomorrow will be the Mid Autumn Festival or better known as Moon Cake Festival. I was supposed to go to Star Cruises in Port Klang early in the morning tomorrow. But according to one of the staff there, she told me that they'll be a high tide tomorrow morning. So I'll have to be there a bit later tomorrow to avoid the high tide. So then I asked her, isn't it normal that there will always have hugh tide and low tide. She told me that this high tide is due to the 15th day of the 8th Month in the lunar calendar. That means it's the Mid Autumn Festival. Then I asked her again, isn't it happen every year? She told me that it only happens once in every few year. The last high tide was 5 years back. I always find that Lunar Calendar is always the greatest as our datuk and nenek moyang were really good in calculating. On the every 15th day of the month, we'll always get the full moon. But one thing that I really don't understand is that in the Roman calendar, we'll have a leap year in every 4 yours. I understand why we'll have this leap year in every 4 years. But in the Lunar calendar, we'll have a "yun yuet" (don't know what it's called, that means in certain years you'll have the same month for twice). Like this year, we were celebrating 2 times of the Hungry Ghost Month (the 7th month). Hmm...really wonder how they did they calculate it? Anyway, since today is the 14th, it's my beloved niece, cid-cey-ceow's birthday. Happy Birthday, my dearest cid-cey-ceow!

Answer

Yeah...someone smart got the Riddle correctly. The answer is

Cock = 1
Hen = 29
Chicken = 70

For more explanations on how to get the answer, check out the complicated linear equation that Paullie used to get the answer from here.

But someone is even smarter than Paullie and that will be Mich. Paullie, Mich and myself will have KFC for 1 week...whew...

KFC --> Fattening --> More workout in gym --> Leaving the office asap to burn off the calories.

Have a nice day!

Riddle of the day

Something to let you guys to think about it. It's nice to let your brain to work once in a while.
You are given RM100 and asked to buy some chickens, hens and cocks.

The price for each
Cock = RM6
Hen = RM3
Chicken = RM0.10

The only catch is you have to spend exactly RM100 to buy exactly 100 units of the combined chickens, hens and cocks. What is the correct combination?
p/s: Will reveal the answer in my next post.

It's 1st Oct
