i *heart* facebook

Don't you agree with me that Facebook is a very interesting portal? I especially *heart* the update status feature in the FB. I'm not the kind of person who updates the status every hour. I have a friend who updates his status almost every errr...30 minutes or also, until some of his friends are quite fed up reading his status and requested him to update even when he goes to toilet. Anyway, I only update my status whenever there is something special happen...like the one below.
I received a call on Tuesday and was very excited about it. Well...it's not so convenient to share what was the call about in little blog of mine. Anyway, I was very excited about it and need to do some preparation for it on this Thursday, i.e today. So, I updated my status as you can see from the screen shot below.
This Ethan Teh, my colleague, was so creative. He thought of the marriage proposal from the line "Lisan is very kan jeung...preparing for this Thursday". It was my fault too by replying his comment cheekily. Friends started to congratulate me via Facebook, MSN and SMS. I had to explain to each and everyone of them that that was not the case. I'm glad that everyone was very happy for me if it is something true. Thanks friends!
I changed my status to the one above as I have been coughing very badly for the past few days till close to voiceless. What I meant by "I do" is erm..."I do need *something*", not the "I do" that you always saw on movie. The comments started to come in again after changing the status. Again, thanks a lot for the wishes. And again, I changed my status to something like the one above. Somehow, people still could relate whatever statutes that I put to something about marriage. I was really speechless.

I was getting kinda boring with all the comments and updated my status again to avoid anymore misunderstanding. Then again, this Ethan Teh could never let me go and commented on my status again.
I could only put a stop full after declaring that I'm neither engaged nor married.

Don't you think it's interesting? Some people is actually so free to check on people's statuses. I *heart* Facebook more.

*Updated* Checklist

*Updated on 14-10-2008*

  1. Deposit paid
  2. Home loan application submitted. Pending for approval now. Next thing is to choose the best home loan plan. Chosen Standard Chartered Mortgage One home loan. Non-zero moving cost (aka no free legal fee) and the rate we obtained is the best rate so far...BLR-2.3% throughout. My sis told me that there's a rumor that the BLR is going to drop...lets pray hard hard...hehehe!!
  3. Legal fees quotations obtained. Chosen the law firm in Kelana Square. Going to the law firm tomorrow to discuss with the lawyer on the next course of action. Good news! The house owner would like to acquire the service from our lawyer as well, which means shorter time to prepare and get the S&P signed. And this leads to faster processing and obtaining the keys...yeah!
  4. EPF submission -- not done.
  5. Follow up tasks like signing S&P and only God knows whatelse -- not done.
  6. Keys to the new home -- not obtained.
  7. Furniture checklist done. Budget for furniture done. So far the furniture that we've been eyeing on are still within our budget. Hopefully there will be discount on these items when the actual time comes.
  8. Electronics checklist done. Budget for electronic stuff done. Still within our budget too. Hopefully we may get better electronic stuff with the budgeted money in the time to come. Hopefully more electronic brands coming out with the inverter air-cond. Right now, I guess only Panasonic and Hitachi are selling it and the price of this inverter air-cond is so much more expensive than the normal air-cond. Lets pray to have more followers ya!
  9. Kitchen cabinets quotation obtained. But still seeking for more quotations from different designers. Please provide me the contact details if you know any designers. Thanks.
  10. Renovation budget -- not done. Contractor cum interior designer cum wiring man required. Please provide me the contact details too if you happen to know any. Thanks
  11. More to add-on...

Fury

Can't wait to watch this movie, Fury, from Thailand, which will open on 9th Oct. Saw the trailer at GSC the other day and the movie looks superb. No double stuntman. Real injury. This lady is damn great in her kung fu.
