The next step

As many of you all have known, LKC has already paid deposit for our house. We paid the deposit on the spot after viewing the unit for less than 30 minutes. It was the best deal we found so far. Though, this is not our dream house (our dream house is at Desa Parkcity) but this is already very good enough for the two of us to stay for the next couple of years to come.
Everyone has been very supportive so far. Sis has been giving her professional advise on the home loans and giving us ideas on how to renovate the house. Dad has been very supportive in terms of financial though my Ipoh house renovation has caused and is still causing a big hole in his pocket. Bro has been asking me where he should stay when he goes to KL, at sis's place or at my place. LKC's dad and grandma have been very supportive too in terms of financial.
Both LKC and I are a bit hesitate to accept the offer that both our parents offered. Dad offered to give me a big sum of money, which can cover 1/3 of the loan amount. LKC's dad and grandma offered to give us money enough to pay for house renovation. With the sum that both our families are offering, we can actually goyang kaki and need not worry about anything at all.
I want to get a designer to design my house, have a big LCD tv for our new house, a good set of home theatre system that is loud enough to be heard from our neighbour's house, a two door fridge that can fit in the whole Tesco, a Slumberland/ SweetDreams/ GoodNite or whatever brands of mattress that costs few grands, a build-in wardrobe with tempered glass sliding doors, a set of Cellini/ Lorenzo sofa, coffee table and dining table, plastic ceiling for at least the living + dining room and the master bedroom, a home-office set for the study + store room, a set of kitchen cabinet with marble top, a dryer + washing machine and etc.
Who doesn't want all these things honestly? But is this really what we want? Asking money from parents to get our house decorated to make it looks like a million dollars house?

DainTiHill Restaurant @ Pavillion KL

I have to post this entry first among any other entries as the promotion is going to end in end of September, which is only 8 days away. They are having an awesome promotion for Citibank card holder, where you can get 50% off total bill (except for takeaway and alcoholic servings) till end of September.

DainTiHill Restaurant at Pavillion KL serves fusion Japanese -Western- Taiwanese food in very nice presentation and classy restaurant decor. As mentioned earlier, this is a fusion restaurant, whereby all the food serve here are crossed-over between these 3 countries.

I especially like the ambiance here as it was very spacious and the colourful lights just made the restaurant look so classy.
The restaurant serve a wide variety of food.

Main Dishes
For our dinner, we ordered
Photobucket
Sauteed Imperial Beef Steak with Special Sauce - RM28
As the name suggested, the beef was cooked in a pan containing some butter together with onion and vegetable. The beef was not overly-cooked when serve. The special sauce mentioned in the description was actually some black-pepper sauce. The serving was quite small comparing with the price that they're charging.
Photobucket
Stewed Clams in Tang Style - RM18
This dish was served on a small pan as well. This dish is more like a superior soup lala that you can find in any of the Chinese restaurant. I prefer the "cheaper" lala that you can find in the market whereby the shell is thinner than this thick shell clams. Anyway, the dish tasted okay, nothing much so special. I would still prefer Boston's superior soup lala or the steamed lala prepared by my brother.
Photobucket
Sauteed Fresh Mushroom - RM20
As the name suggested again, the fresh mushroom was cooked in a small pan containing butter and some cream I think. The dish tasted like cream of mushroom soup (minus off the soup lah...of course). The mushroom was really fresh and it wasn't oily at all. The dish was slightly salty, therefore it was just nice to eat with rice.
With the 50% discount, we could afford for the desserts which I think was slightly overpriced.
Photobucket
Hot Fragant Sago with Papaya - RM12
Served on a burner to keep the dessert warm, this dessert tasted more like our local dessert, bubur charchar except for the recipes used. Instead of using yam and sweet potato, they served the dessert with papaya, sago and sprinkles of chrysanthemum flower in coconut milk. This dessert was just nicely prepared, neither too sweet nor too plain.
Photobucket
Berries topped with soft ice-cream, fresh strawberries and sauce - RM16
Strawberry is one of favourite fruits, but too bad, it's very hard to find sweet strawberries in Malaysia. I remember I had one box of strawberries almost everyday when I was in Australia. Those were the days. Anyway, back to this berries dessert. The dessert consisted of ice-blended topped with vanilla ice-cream, sourish strawberries and some berries sauce. The ice-cream topping was really soft, which reminds me of the very-cheap-and-nice-McDonald's-sundae. With just few slices of strawberry (I think when combined together, it is just one piece only lor), the dessert was very overpriced. I think the McDonald's strawberry sundae is even better than it. One thing I like is that they have a small cup of syrup for you to add-on to the dessert, which made it more health conscious kind of dessert. The overall of the dessert is nothing much special.

The service was so-so. At least they were willing to let us know that they have this promotion when we asked them before entering the restaurant (yes, we were a bit kiasu). It wasn't crowded when we were there at around 7pm, but it just took them quite long to serve our food. We almost finished the first dish before the second and third dishes were served. The desserts took quite some time to be served too after our main course.
With the 50% discount from the Citibank credit card, the total bill for this meal was only RM57.60, which I think was a very great deal. Without this promotion, I don't think I will want to try on this restaurant. The food is slightly overpriced with the small portion of food serve. The photos in the menu are really for illustration purpose only. The actual one is so much different with the menu.
Anyway, do give it a try if you are Citibank credit card holder before the promotion ends on 30th September.

Tiffany & Co

Come on and scold me for posting such an entry, but I don't care.

I guess it's almost every girl's dream of owning an item from Tiffany & Co (for me at least!), be it sterling silver, white gold, gold or platinum, be it diamond ring, necklace or bracelet. Yesterday, LKC just made one of my dreams came true. I remember watching a movie where the guy brought the girl to Tiffany & Co and proposed to her there. Anyone remember what movie was it? Anyway, that didn't happen to me yesterday, but mine was quite memorable too.
LKC went to KLCC around lunch time yesterday after visiting his customer at Hulu Kelang there, but he was kinda lazy to go back to the office after having lunch with me at KLCC. Therefore he waited for me to finish work at 5.30pm. Poor him, he had to walk around KLCC for 4 hours alone.
I went down to meet him after work, carrying 2 laptops - one is mine and another laptop which cost more than RM20K in the bag (laptop + something-i-dunno-what-it-is-for-and-what-it-is-called component that he got from his customer earlier that cost 3K Euro). He kept on reminding me not to throw his laptop bag, not to kick on it or anything happens also die-die must jaga the bag.
When I met him, I kept on mumbling and asked if there is any reward for me for taking care of his bag. What he gave was only a Chuppa Chup Cola flavour lollipop (my fave!) that only cost RM0.60...sien. Imagine, you're in KLCC where there are lots of branded stuff like LV, Gucci, Coach, Burberry, Prada, Chanel etc...just name it. What you received for taking care a RM20K bag was only a RM0.60 lollipop...potong steam lor.
We walked around KLCC while waiting for less traffic jam, LKC suddenly walked me to one corner and told me he found a shop. Then I thought he found LV shop and wanted to bring me in. Then he stopped at the outside of Tiffany & Co shop (fyi, Tiffany & Co is located opposite of LV) and took out a box from his pants pocket.
I was stunned! I was shocked! It was a very big surprise from LKC honestly. I never thought he will buy me something from Tiffany & Co as I doubt he knows what Tiffany & Co is. I thought he would buy me a handbag instead but he was empty-handed when I met him.
He asked me to open the box and try it on. It was a very simple bracelet with a small heart hanging in the middle. The bracelet was a bit too long for me and thought of sending back to the shop for alteration. It will take them 1 month to alter it as they will have to send it to Singapore.
I asked for an exchange instead of waiting for the alteration. There were so many nice items that I like, from bracelets to bangles, from necklaces to rings, from earrings to charms. Everything is just so perfect in there. I tried the bangle which I had been longing for quite sometime, it was very nice, but it will not be very convenient for me if I were to wear it daily. So skipped.
I tried the Heart Tag charm on bracelet but LKC said I looked like a gangster, so skipped. Tried on the ring, but LKC said not nice, so skipped. In the end, I chose a necklace with a bar pendant and a small diamond on it. LKC needed to top up RM410 in additional to the bracelet that he had bought that cost RM525.
So here, I'm presenting my very first Tiffany & Co Necklace and Pendant from my beloved LKC.

Yes...on the way

Yes, I know I've not been blogging for more than 2 weeks. Not that I'm busy with works or anything. Just that there are more attractive activities to be done than blogging.

Blame the Moonlight Resonance (家好月圆)
I'm on medication, the Moonlight Resonance medication. I need at least a dosage a day (an episod, just in case you don't know, it's a HK TVB drama). I get really frustrated if I don't see the latest episod uploaded to the torrent site. Seriously, if you think the Heart of Greed (溏心風暴) was nice, wait till you watch Moonlight Resonance. You'll be highly addicted like me.

Blame the Facebook
Parking Wars, Bowling Buddies, Pet Society, Who has the biggest brain? and the latest MouseHunt have been keeping me busy all the time. Even my LKC, who is a total dumber in all these things, joined Facebook to challenge me in the Bowling Buddies.

Blame my Sony PSP + Philips MP3 player
Oh yes...I think I've not written any review on my PSP which I bought errr...few months back. And also the Philips MP3 player that I bought 2 weeks ago. Another topic to add in to my list of pending blog entries.

Blame my laziness
This is the mother of all the above blames...muahaha. Actually I have few entries drafted half way, but just too lazy to continue and started with a new entry instead.

Signing off now. Poor LKC is watching movie alone at the TGV while waiting for me to finish my work. Till then, take care and Happy Mooncake Festival.
