The end...?

It has been close to 2 years I've been maintaining this blog. Guess this is one the longest hobby that I ever have apart from surfing the net. I used to have a few blog which I just created and never maintained it like the Yahoo 360°, Multiply, Windows Live Space and the Friendster's blog.

I'm a very curious type of person. I always want to find out what is new and interesting in this cyber space. That is the reason why I have created so many accounts to find out which blog provider can actually "satisfy" my need. Today I have created another account under LiveJournal. Yes I know. LiveJournal is not something new but I have not explore to this site before and thought why not I just create an account and see what they can provide.

The reasons why I'm still using Blogger is because it has a simple and pretty straight forward interface. It does not serve any other purposes other than letting you publishing a post entry to your blog. Multiply and Windows Live Space offer more than blogging service. It is more like a combination of Blogger and Friendster, where you can add your friends in to your account. Sometimes it is just too overloaded with information when you login. It takes some time for me to actually search for the link to add the link. Unlike Blogger where you can just click on the +New Post link right after you login. For others, you will actually need to click here and there just to write a post.

Back to the LiveJournal, one thing that caught my interest in this LiveJournal is the blog themes that they offer. Being a dummy in the HTML world, changing the blog theme will be the most tedious task. If you have been reading my blog for the past 2 years, you will notice that I've actually "tried" to change the theme from time to time. Always browse the Blog Skin to check out the nice themes, but too bad, I will always need to do some code modification to make it look better. I'm tired of doing the modification and sticked back to the boring templates provided by Blogger. As for the LiveJournal, they provide different types of layout and themes which are very nice. This really caught my attention and made me feel like exploring more on this LiveJournal.

Well, still not so sure how user-friendly can this LiveJournal be. Just need to spend some time on it to get use to it I guess. Will I be closing down this blog and "migrate" to LiveJournal? Not sure. Will announce when I'm ready.

Holidays

Looking at the photo above makes me feel like going for a holiday. It's been so long since the last time I went for a holiday. The last place I went was South Korea in December last year. Oh man, more than 8 months already. I did not even go for a local trip holiday. Sigh, I went to JB on last February and Genting Highlands on 2 months back. But these were all company trips.

LKC and I were actually planning to go to Malacca on last weekend. Thought of asking Fei Pin, Chun Nee, Cheng Ghee and others to join, but none of them was free. So had to cancel the trip. Better wait till everyone is free to go. It's nicer to go in a group than just two of us. The more the merrier it seems.

Guess there won't be any holiday for me this year. LKC just joined the new company, it's not so nice for him to apply leave during probation period. And I'll be joining new company also in November. Don't dream of getting holiday in the year end. Need to save the annual leave for Chinese New Year. Oh...it's so upsetting to think about this.

Diet...diet...diet

Sigh...I'm getting fatter and fatter nowadays. People start noticing that I have actually put on weight. Clothes and pants are getting tighter. I can no longer buy clothes of XS or S size now. I will try on size M first before trying on size S now. Embarrass to ask the sales girl to get me a bigger size.

I think I should get back to my work out now. I've been very lazy going to the Celebrity ever since LKC came over to KL. I'll only go there once a week the most. Before LKC was here, I was so addicted to the dance classes. I went there almost everyday and after the classes, I would just grab some cherry tomatoes or drank milo as my dinner. But this has not been happening for the past one month. I've been taking heavy dinner almost every day. Sigh...it takes forever to loose weight, but it takes just a short period of one month to put on weight. It's so upsetting.

I'll need to start a diet-plan now. Here's what I'm planning to do:-

Breakfast

• sweet corn
• cut fruits

Dinner

• milo + cereal
• salad

I'm not sure how long I can survive with these food. All I know that I really need to be on a strict diet until I gain back my ideal weight. Leow Lisan...you can do it!!!

LKC's "boss" asked us for a dinner at Pantai Seafood Restaurant located at Kg Sg Kayu Ara - nearby the Damansara toll. He had been asking LKC for few times just this week itself. Since he had been so desperately wanted to check out this restaurant, so LKC decided to go there to give it a try. What attracted LKC's "boss" to check out this place was the snow crab. The "boss" wanted to try this snow crab even when he was in Australia, but that time he wasn't rich enough to pay for the crab.

We arrived there at around 8pm and never expected the place was so packed. I had to drive around the restaurant twice just to find the parking. The first thing that you managed to find in the restaurant is the aquariums. You can find different kind of seafood in these aquariums. Like the geoduck, Australian Lobster, snow crab, Alaska king crab, snails, clams, prawns, African abalone, oysters and different types of fish like soon hok, garoupa and etc.

The most expensive seafood in these aquarium is the Alaska King Crab. Always see this in the Discovery Channel - Deadliest Catch show. It costs RM238/kg (offer price, normal price RM248/kg).

Next is the Australian Lobster, which costs RM233/kg. I'm kinda regret I did not try the lobster when I was in Australia. Never thought it is so costly here. I must try it the next time I go to Australia.

The second-runner of the most expensive seafood is the snow crab, which costs RM193/kg. The geoduck costs around RM159/kg. I always thought abalone and oysters are two very expensive food. After looking at the price of the crab and the lobster, now I feel that oysters and abalones are not that expensive anymore.

Did not manage to take a lot of photos as I did not bring my camera along. Was using my phone's camera to take these photos and the stupid camera does not allow me to zoom closer. We ordered a superior snow crab, kepah (lala), crispy pork trotters and kai lan in two variety for the 4 of us. The superior snow crab was nice. The crab meat was very "sweet" and the gravy had a very strong taste of the dried scallop. The kepah tasted nice but not that special. Still prefer the Boston Restaurant in Klang. Nothing can beat that. The crispy pork trotters (no picture taken, was too busy enjoying the snow crab) is a deep fried of the pork knuckle served with some special sauce. The kai lan in two variety is nice too. There are two ways of preparing the kai lan - stir-fry of the kai lans' stalks and deep fried of the kai lans' leaves.

The total bill cost us RM425. The price is quite reasonable except for the snow crab. The cripsy pork trotters cost RM30/piece, the kepah only costs RM10 and the kai lan in two variety is only RM12. The snow crab costs us RM328. If you were to ask me what is so special about this snow crab. To be honest, the answer is nothing. It just tasted like the normal crab that we can get in Kepong for RM18/kg. The only thing special about this crab is the size. It's very huge. The one that we had weighed 1.7kg. Anyway, it is worth trying if you have some extra money and wanna try to experience what the rich people eat. It is enough just to try once. Our next target will be the Alaska King Crab or the geoduck.

Millionaire

I was checking on the sportstoto result on Saturday and saw the jackpot winning prize was more than 8 millions for the Super Toto 6/49. Wow, it was so tempting.

It's so hard to earn 1 million, no doubt 8 millions. So I was happily joking with LKC last night saying that what if I strike the lottery and won 8 millions. What will be the first thing I will do? Of course I will not publicly tell everyone that I strike the lottery, maybe will share my happiness with one or two close friends.

First thing I will do is of course deposit all the money in to the bank. Once I deposited, if it's lost, it's still the bank's responsibility to pay me back. Next I will buy a house, a double-storey costs around 200k - 300k will be enough and get my car change. Maybe a Honda Jazz will be good enough.

Next, I will tender my resignation letter with 24 hours notice. I do not need to worry so much this time. How cool it is when you throw the resignation letter to your boss and when he asks why, you'll just reply "Ngor fatt jor tatt" (I'm rich now). Hahaha...so happy. No more giving all the lame excuses or reasons for leaving the company. If the boss still wants to ask somemore, then I can tell him that I want to buy over your company and you will work for me. Wahahaha...so happy.

I was still dreaming about it this morning. Kept on telling LKC that "Ngor fatt jor tatt" (soon this phrase will become famous like the other two phrases "Dai jor lar" (Watched already lar) - Astro's On Demand advertisement and "I'm a tai kor mar" (I'm the big brother) - Digi's advertisement). I even thought of going to buy the lottery today to try my luck. Who knows I might be that lucky. Boom...my dream just gone when I check the result today.

It's so upsetting to see this on Monday morning. Someone has strike the lottery. What is left now is only 1 million. What is more upsetting is knowing that my dream only lasted for 1 night. Never mind I still can aim for the Mega TOTO 6/52, which worth more than 5 millions. Leow Lisan...dream on...

Resigned

I've tendered my resignation letter yesterday after signing the offer letter from the new company on Thursday. At first I was still very miserable whether to accept the offer or not as I always think that being put in the Maybank project is a very good opportunity. I always wanted to finish this project first at least I've completed a full cycle of a very special project as claimed by everyone.

Things got changed after I received the feedback from my bosses on another project that I was doing besides Maybank. My bosses will never bothered whether you know how to solve the issue or not or whether you have any knowledge on the project that you are going to do or not. They will simply put you in there and let you survive on your own. It is good in a way as I got to learn and understand it faster than anyone else as extra efforts need to be put in there. Things turn to bad when I got stucked, not sure how to move on and there is no one I could refer to. Working in the Basis area for 2 years is still considered very junior and my knowledge is still very limited. Sometimes I need to have some seniors around to at least give me some advices on how to proceed.

Back to the project, there is one thing that I was supposed to do and I also found the way to do it. But I wasn't so sure whether there's anything I need to take care of before doing that. So I sent an email to my bosses telling them that I need their advice on this and also requested to have a senior to do this with me (though I know that it's impossible). They just gave me the green light to proceed this on myself. The project did not perform successfully. I'm not sure whether it's a lucky thing or not. We need to re-schedule the time to do it all over again and this time I requested to my boss again that I need to have a senior to do with me as I want to get things done for once and for all. Finally I'm allowed to have a senior to do it with me this time (as they can't charge the customer again and again if things got screwed up).

I got very fed up when the same things happen again and again. Why can't they change? What's the purpose of getting our feedback during review when they're not going to change it? Before I walked in to the big boss's room, I had already prepared myself on all the questions that are going to come out from his mouth.

Most of the things that he said are those common things like why are you leaving, I gave you so many opportunities, you've established yourself in this company, I had sent you to so many trainings...blah, blah, blah...yada...yada...yada. There are few things that he said actually surprised me, like one of the question he asked was "Did you tell anyone about your increment last year?" Then I told him I told my two seniors. He said that they were telling everyone about my increment. So what if they really tell everyone. I didn't find the increment was a lot. Some people got even higher than me.

Another thing that was really surprised me was he was telling me that "not every bosses will like you". I really appreciate that you actually like me but you won't whether my new boss will like me or not. He might like me like you do or even more than you do.

He was telling me that he was planning to give me bonus this month and he was thinking whether to pull it out or not. Duh...excuse me. If you feel like giving it, then go ahead. If you don't feel like giving it to me, which I think I'm deserved for it, please don't let me know. What are you trying to tell me? You made me feel that you're very sarcastic person. Because I'm leaving, I do not deserved for the bonus that I earned last year?

Sigh, he kept on asking me to reconsider. If I would to reconsider, I should have done it even before I tendered the letter. I'm not sure how many more times I will be called back to have a conversation with him and other bosses. Just wish me luck...

Harajuku

Was listening to Gwen Stefani's The Sweet Escape album and there's a song titled Wind It Up (Harajuku Lovers Live Version). At the same time, received a newsletter from Maxis and at the corner of the newsletter, there is a Harajuku Doll Contest.

It made me so curious on what Harajuku is all about. Did a google search and found this at Wikipedia. Harajuku is actually the area around Harajuku Station on the Yamanote Line in the Shibuya ward of Tokyo, Japan. Never been to Japan, so don't know where exactly the place is. Harajuku Tokyo is a major fashion and shopping region and its famous for Harajuku Girls.
To what I understand from the small "research" I did, Harajuku is famous for the "cosplaying" (meaning "costume" or "roleplaying"). Well, it's not a common thing to do "cosplaying" in Malaysia here and people will look at you one kind even if you're just dressing up a little bit more "special". Taiwan is getting more famous on this "cosplaying" thingy right now. Got to know about this from the Guess Guess Guess show.
By the way, anyone interested in going to Gwen Stefani's concert? Feel like going but LKC is not interested in this kind of music. Kinda addicted to her songs lately...

Finally...

Yes...finally it is here. I've received the confirmation...confirmation of my new job. Went through 3 interviews, 1st was interviewed by the Basis Team Lead in Malaysia, 2nd was interviewed by the HR Manager and 3rd was interviewed by the Head of Basis from UK. They are offering me the job after all the hassle.

What's my new job and new company? I guess it should be more or less the same as to what I'm doing now as a SAP Basis Consultant. I'm no longer an Associate Consultant (aka Junior Consultant)...hehehe. The office is located at Tower 2, Petronas Twin Tower. Don't know much about the company. All I know is two of my seniors that I'm comfortable working with are there and Kate is working there too. I'll be reporting to work on 5th November.

Will go and accept the offer letter on this Thursday and going to tender my resignation letter on this Friday. It's my first time tendering resignation letter, feel a bit weird...don't know what to do and how to do. Sigh...3 months of notice...such a long period. Don't know what will happen after the resignation...I just can't imagine.

Waiting...

I'm still waiting for something...something that I have been waited for almost a month. Something that I have made up my mind to go for it. I felt miserable at first, but after last Wednesday, I've made my decision. Can't share this out yet as it's not confirmed. Will blog about it once I got the confirmation. Can't wait...hope to get the confirmation by next week. Waiting...waiting...and still waiting.

Desperate Housewives

Ya...ya...I know I'm a little bit out talking about Desperate Housewives now. They're airing the Season 3 in U.S now and I've just started my Season 1. Never planned to watch this American tv drama series even when I was in Australia when they started showing the Season 1 almost 3 years back. My "craving" on Desperate Housewives just started...errr yesterday evening, when I have nothing to do at home. Got influenced by my sis when she was watching it in the living room.

Since I have nothing better to do and no Astro for me to watch since she has "booked" the tv for this drama series, I just tried to watch the Disc 1 which we borrowed from my cousin. I do not always watch American series except for The O.C. and Friends. I just don't like to wait for an episod a week and 2-3 months for the following season to be aired. And only god knows when the story gonna end. That's why I prefer to watch the TVB drama instead, which is shorter and get to watch it almost everyday.

I knew that the Desperate Housewives is a big hit in the U.S. I thought it was just another Sex and the City or Friends, where you talked about life and love. Out of my expectation, I actually enjoy watching it. Well, maybe I'm a woman, that's why I enjoy it. Don't think LKC will prefer this kind of drama. It talks about families and love mostly. There's no super attractive actor nor super pretty actress in it. But somehow I enjoy watching it.

I'm gonna finish my Season 1 soon. And Season 2 and Season 3 are waiting for me...signing off now.

Wall's Mini Poppers

Remember I blogged once that I'm going to start a Food blog? Well, I've been quite busy with work and also been a lazy bum when I have time to blog. Since I do not have the tendency to bring my camera all the time, I'm so not used to take photo of the food that I ordered. Whenever the food is served, I'll just take the spoon/ fork/ chopsticks and just gulp the food down to my stomach without thinking more.

I like to eat, that's why I've putting on weight every now and then. No matter how hard I work out, how many classes I attend to burn the calories, yet I'm still getting heavier and fatter now. I'm putting on weight is because of the good food that I had. Good things must always be shared. Why not I just share the good food that I've tried before with my friends who visit my blog. At least, we can put on weight together gather marrr....hehehe.

Chocolate is one the flavor that I'll definitely choose no matter what. From ice-creams to drinks, from cakes to cookies. I just love the chocolate so much. Whenever I ordered ice-creams especially the Baskin Robbins or Hagen Daze, chocolate will be the flavor that I'll put in my priority list. I don't like to drink coffee or tea. So whenever I visit Coffee Bean or Starbucks, hot chocolate or ice-blended chocolate will be ordered. Chocolate moist cake and Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies will be my favourite too.

Wall's Mini Poppers has become one of my snacks lately. It's a very great idea for Wall's to come out with all the Wall's Mini like Wall's Mini Cornetto and the new Wall's Mini Poppers. Whenever you're craving for ice-creams and you're afraid that you'll gain few kilos on your body after finishing the whole original Cornetto then no worries anymore. The latest Wall's Mini Poppers is just so yummyliciousss...it just tastes like Ferrero Roches, with crunchy chocolate-nutty outside and vanilla/ chocolate ice-cream inside. I've tried the Vanilla flavor and it's just too perfect. Not too sweet and you get to enjoy chocolate and ice-cream at the same time.

Sleepy Saturday

Planned earlier to go to Klang for dinner tonight, but just feel very lazy to go. It's raining outside...the weather is so nice and so cooling. Just made me lazier and sleepy at the same time. I woke up few times this morning. Woke up at 6.15am to send LKC to office to catch the bus to Cherating. Came back home at 7 something, straight away went back to sleep. Got a call from mum at 8 something I think, forgot what she was talking about then fell back to sleep. Got another call again at 10 something from the "mother-in-law" in Maybank. Finally, got my back up to sit in front of the laptop to surf the net and at around 11 something, received an SMS from LKC. Called him and talked for 10 minutes. I went back to sleep at 11 something and guess what, I slept until 1 something in the afternoon. I was only awake when I heard my sis banged on her room's door. I forced myself to get up and quickly went to shower before I laze on the bed fall asleep again.

It's 4.05pm now and I have just been awake for less than 3 hours. My eyes are tired and it's going to close at anytime. My sis is having her Desperate Housewives marathon at the living room and I've no idea on what to do if I'm not going back to sleep after blogging. Arrghh...the weather just makes me so lazy. Thank God it's Saturday today...try to imagine what happen if you get this kind of weather on a working day.

Oh by the way, I've been craving for this Cadbury Bytes lately. It's too yummy and best of all, it's cheap. Only RM1.99 (after discount in Jusco Supermarket) a pack. As you can see from the packagin itself, it's a cereal puff with chocolatey centre. Yummyliciousssss....

The beginning of a new life

It's an all new beginning for me from today onwards after started my work since 2 years back. Not that I'm changing to a new job. I'm still in the same old company since I joined 2 years back. I was all alone (alone in the sense that my LKC was not by my side) in KL here on the weekdays for 2 years. It was either me who went back to Ipoh or LKC came over to KL so that we could spent some tine together on the weekends.
It's all changing now. I guess most of you have known that LKC had resigned from his job in Ipoh and made up his mind to come to KL to start a new career and a new life here. I'd been waited for this chance since 2 years ago and finally my dreams came true. LKC has moved to KL here yesterday and reporting to his new job today.
This is a total change to him. The change is not just moving from Ipoh to KL and staying together with me and not having a home-cooked dinner every night. It is a change of career as well. He was a Test Engineer back in Ipoh, guess what he is working as now? An engineer also? Nope...he's working in the field of Marketing now in one of a company in Glenmarie. I'm not sure he has made a right choice or not but I really wish he made the correct decision.
From now onwards, I'm not just playing as a role of a girlfriend. I'll be his partner, his unofficial-wife and his maid as well...hehehe. I'll make sure he's comfortable staying together with me. I'll make sure he'll become happier than he used to. There are things that we need to compromise. There are things that we need to sacrifice. All the best to you. Will always support and be there for you...love you heaps :)

Streamyx drama

I've been struggling to online from home for the past 2 days as something reaaalllllyyyyyyy very stupid happened to my streamyx account. I needed to ask LKC to go offline so that I could use his streamyx account while waiting for my streamyx to be activated. Let me tell you the details....here it goes....

On 30th June (Sat), I went to TMPoint at Damansara Uptown to deactivate the HotSpot service that I used to have for free for the past 2 years. It was part of the promotion the time I signed up for the streamyx. Since I've been using the streamyx for 2 years now, they started to charge me for the HotSpot service this month as it had already past the promotion period. I called to the Customer Service to deactivate it, but they said I have to go to the TMPoint to do it. Ok...fine. So I went there to deactivate it. I filled up a form which was given to me by the receptionist. He even ticked for me that I would like to deactivate the HotSpot service. I thought everything will be fine after submitting the form. I will not be charged extra RM10 a month for the HotSpot service that I had never ever used before.

I usually turn on my lappie once I arrive at home. As usual, on Monday, when I arrived at home I turned on my lappie and tried to connect to the Internet. I've set my modem to auto-connect. I didn't know that I wasn't connected to the Internet. I tried to go online, signed in to MSN. Everything just failed to load. So I tried to restart my lappie for at least twice. Still it couldn't work. I checked my modem settings and only found out that it wasn't connected. I borrowed LKC's account and tried to connect from my place here. Dah da....connected.

Damn it...what the heck. What happened to my account? I called to the customer service again and found out that my account had been closed. Huh...closed? Who asked for it to be closed? The gal told me that the request was submitted by me. What? No way. I was very pissed off. So I asked how can I activate back my account. That gal told me I have to go to TMPoint to get it done. What? Again I was very pissed off. What's the purpose of having a call centre when you can't help to solve the customers' problems? I kept on scolding and scolding them. That stupid gal told me that "Ma'm...I'm going to put you in silent mode and I continue with my work." How can a customer service representative speaks like that? I was again very pissed off. I asked for her name and told her that I'm going to make a complain about her. But actually I didn't make the complain, just to make her worry...hehehe.

Then I submitted an online complain about the problem that I was having but I only got a reply saying that they'll investigate the case further and will get back to me asap. How long do I need to wait for this? Luckily, there's a TMPoint nearby Menara Maybank here. So I went there to check out what I can do. They called to the TMPoint Uptown to check on the form that I submitted previously and found out that it was their mistake to close my account. So I asked them what I can do now. They told me I need to register for a new account as they can't re-activate the old account. Huh...why is the system so stupid? But thank god, the customer representative that handled my problem was not bad. He told me that he will waive my registration fee and will activate back my streamyx asap. He even explained to me clearly on what I will be expecting to see on my new bill. Hmm...at least I'm feeling better now and I can online again.

So guys, if you ever require to do activate/deactivate any of the streamyx's services. Please think twice before you proceed. You might end up all the hassle that I went thru.

Can you imagine thousands of people are queuing up for this 'I'm Not a Plastic Bag' shopping bag? I did not know about this bag until last Saturday when LKC's colleague asked him to go and get one for him. We went to the Anya Hindmarch outlet in U-Parkson at 1-Utama on last Saturday to checkout what is so special about this bag. When we were there, we didn't manage to see any bags that look like this. All we could see were those designer handbags. So I went and asked the sales girl there and showed her the photo that LKC's colleague passed to him. To our surprise, this shopping bag was launched on last Friday and it was all sold out on that day itself. According to the sales girl, the main outlet of Anya Hindmarch is located in KLCC and thousand of people were queuing up for this bag on its launching day and it is all sold out on the same day. So I asked about the price of this shopping bag and it costs RM55. I was really surprised that Malaysians actually spent RM55 to buy a shopping bag. A bag that is used for shopping...imagine, putting your groceries in a RM55 bag. What a rich guy. According to LKC, the reason why this bag is so popular is because the celebrities are using it, one of them is Keira Knightly - the Pirates girl.
