6 degrees of separation

I feel that the world is really small at times. The contractor that we hire for our house renovation is my old schoolmate's (Pooi Sze) future father-in-law, well if she and his son tie the knot. I didn't know that until the contractor came and took the house keys from us the other day. Pooi Sze followed him along and only we knew it.
And it's so happened that LKC is Pooi Sze's hmmm "bau-bau bacang" relative. LKC's cousin is Pooi Sze's cousin as well.
If I were to link more, then LKC's is Michelle's "bau-bau bacang" relative too. LKC's cousin is Michelle's cousin as well. So in other words, Pooi Sze is Michelle's "bau-bau bacang" (X2) relative as well.
So the equation is something like this now:-

Pooi Sze <-> Gavin (LKC's and Pooi Sze's cousin) <-> LKC <-> Christopher ( LKC's and Michelle's cousin) <-> Michelle

And on my side, Popo is my cousin's cousin as well. We didn't know it either until one of our relative passed away.

So the equation is something like this now:-

Popo <-> my cousin <-> Me

If I were to marry LKC, so indirectly Pooi Sze, Michelle, Popo and I become relative.

This is really what we call 6 degrees of separation (Human Web)?

It's already March!

OMG, it's already March. I didn't know that I've left out this blog for so many days. The last time I blogged was on the last day of February. Time flies so fast. I'm really busy with my online business lately. Till no time to go window shopping, no time to watch TVB drama, no time to talk with LKC. The first thing I'll do when I arrive at home is to turn on the laptop, check and reply all the emails and messages, look for supplier and chat with Pei, my partner, on how we can improve our business.
When he used to be very busy with his own tasks, I was so free. I disturbed him while he worked. I complaint when I had nothing to do. It's the other way round now. He complaint that I missed him out. He complaint that I look at the monitor screen more than him. I guess Soo also complains the same things to Pei lately.
LKC, Soo and Meng are three of our backup bosses. They always go to SG8 (night club with china dolls) together, but always need to get approval from us. The reason that they gave when they required to apply the "permit" from us is "need to talk businesssarghh!!". Since Handy (another partner), Pei and I are still using our other half's money, we got no choice but to approve their "permit".
These 3 guys are so funny. They said our business is so good lately, they will wait for us to expand our business and they'll stop working. They will become our dispatch boys and we will buy a truck for each of them to deliver the products to our customers, with the condition only one day trip. No staying over night at any place.
They'll have to ask money from us to go to SG8 in future. Then we told them back that they got no more excuse to go to SG8 since they do not need to talk about business anymore. It will be the ladies' turn to go out to talk about business. The guys have to stay at home to do all the houseworks...muahaha!!
Oh by the way, we just had our first "company trip" to Kek Lok Cave...hahaha, just kidding. Just went there for a walk after a sinful lunch at Brewster.

Happy Moo Moo Year

Finally a night at home on the whole CNY. Oh my, I feel sick when I'm at home wtf! Having running nose and cough now. The germs came earlier this year, I started to get voiceless even before CNY, which shouldn't be this way in the past few years. Anyway, how was your CNY so far? Mine was a blast! I have not been at home almost every night (except Chor 1). Here's some recap:-

CNY's Eve - Rum Jungle
Chor 1 - @ home having Open House
Chor 2 - @ Soo's place gambling
Chor 3 - @ Soo's place gambling
Chor 4 - Dinner at Unique Seafood, yum char at Oliven's Cafe then having champagne at La Amour
Chor 5 - @ Soo's place gambling
Chor 6 - @ home resting
My luck has been quite good in the year of Ox. I won RM40 + on Chor 2 and Chor 3, and won RM150+ on Chor 5. Wohoho...
Sigh...it's already Chor 6, another 3 days left only from the reality. Need to go back to KL on Chor 9 and start work on Chor 10. How I wish I could have a longer holiday, or better still a limitless holiday.
Shall enjoy my last few days of holidays to the max! I only go to sleep at around 5am daily. I like this kind of life style!! Please give me more.

Gong Hei Fatt Choy to all!

The TEH

As I was chatting with LKC last night, we were discussing about the name we should give to our children in future. I was making fun of LKC's surname, Teh. As most of you should know, Teh also means tea in Malay. LKC wants to give his children some very powerful name. So I gave him some suggestions:-
  • Teh Tarik
  • Teh Ais
  • Teh C
  • Teh C Ais
  • Teh O Ais
  • Teh O Ais Limau
See, easily we can have a list of names for our children in future. I don't call LKC as LKC now, I'm calling him as Teh Tarik's father...kekeke, while I am Teh Tarik's mother...hahaha. Boh liau..

Poor thing

Is it too early to start it in the first place? Seems like no one bothers about you now since you have announced it about a month ago. Could it be because you don't have friends? Is that all you have? You used to have lots of friends...good friends, close friends, not so close friends but still friend friend type one. Where are they now?
I heard lots of bad comments...not so good comments. Who to be blamed now? You or those making the bad comments? I always believe that it's not always your fault when only one person comments about you. But when there is more than one...say, a bunch of friends commenting about you, I guess you are the main culprit in this friendship game.
Soon you will notice that your circle of friends is getting smaller. Invitations to a party, an event or just a dinner will become lesser. Your life is now only both of you, you and your other half. When it comes to special occasions like Christmas and NYE where everyone dresses up to party, you have no plan on who/ where/ how to celebrate it. It is not something fun. At the end of the day, you will start thinking "we have no friends". It's not a smart move, in fact, it's a very stupid move for avoiding your friends. They do not need you to be around as they always have others. You need to have them around as they are your only friends.

This post may come a little bit late...anyway, it's time for you to start pondering...

Another "high maintenance" post...kekeke

**Updates
Comment from LKC - "mou chin" (no money, tak lak duit, boh lui). The bracelet won't go away geh... :(

Another 2 more days to go before my Christmas holiday. LKC will be going to Singapore tomorrow for training + company's Christmas party on Wednesday. Leaving me alone at home again. It was all his fault. I told him why not we celebrate Christmas at Singapore this year and he insisted that he doesn't want to join the company's Christmas party. With that, I did not allocate any leave for 23rd and 24th Dec. Suddenly, he was telling me that he is forced to go to Singapore on 23rd...knn...kns...somemore need me to send him to office at 6.30am tomorrow...that's too much right!!?? Hopefully he knows what to do to compensate this.
Dear Santa,

I have been a very good girl this year and I promise that I will be a better girl next year. My wish for this year would be a silver bracelet from Tiffany & Co (yes, it's addictive). I have been wishing for this ever since I stepped my feet on the Tiffany & Co store in Sept
ember. If you are unsure which one would be the best gift for me, please refer to the photo below, just to save your time in deciding. Please make my final wish for 2008 comes true.Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Best wishes,
Lisan
P/s: Finally I found my necklace on the Tiffany & Co's website, somemore it's categorized under "New From Tiffany". I always have the tendency of making sure that any items that I bought from any shops/ brands are listed in their websites. Just to make sure that it's genuine and also it's not out-of-fashion. So happy to find out it's one of the latest item from Tiffany, though I have already bought and wore it for more than 4 months.

I was transferring photos I took from my old Casio camera, which has been left untouched for the past 1 months, last used was on Soo's wedding. Was browsing through the photos and actually found out that there were so many restaurant reviews I have yet to blog about. I was too lazy to transfer the photos to the laptop. I was too lazy to upload the photos to the Internet. I was too lazy to edit the uploaded photos. I was too lazy to open the blogger page and talk about it. OMG, I'm such a lazy person.
Actually, there are few restaurants that I would like to share with everyone here. Here is the list:-
  • Fireman BBQ Restaurant @ The Curve
  • Ichiban Ramen @ 1-Utama
  • Italliannies @ 1-Utama
  • Kluang Station @ 1-Utama
  • Roadhouse Grill @ Jalan Ampang
  • Sengjyu Sushi and Sakae Izakaya @ Cineleisure Damansara
  • Thai Thai Thai Restaurant @ Sunway Pyramid
  • Jin Shan Cheng @ Sunway Mentari
  • Wendy's @ Sunway Pyramid
Looking at the list above, it's not actually "few"...quite a lot huh!!?? Will try to upload these photos asap and start writing. Maybe I should set it as something to be done before 2008 ends? Oh yes, talking about 2008. It's the final month of 2008, 2009 is coming soon. Have you achieved what you want? What will be your resolution for year 2009?
There will always be happy and as well as sad moments. Talking about welcoming year 2009, I actually kinda miss my year 2008. I'm welcoming 2009 but I don't want 2008 to leave. Do you have this kind of feeling? It's something like you have left Malaysia for sometime and you are about to come home. You feel hard to leave the place you have been staying but at the same time happy to know that you will be coming home soon. I'm having this kind of feeling right now. Happy yet sad...aiii, so miserable.
I shall dedicate a post to my year 2008 which left too much of happy moments in my life. Suddenly feel so emotional now. Better stop now and go zzz. Good night everyone!

New found love + hate !!??

I found new love recently and that is on photography. Ok, not really new love. I love photography since...who cares, but I've just been using a compact digital camera all these years. Most of the time, I was not satisfied with the photos that I took. I've been admiring photos which were captured by using a DSLR camera and I always wanted to buy one. Been thinking for quite sometime until few weeks ago, I made up my mind to buy Nikon D60. The main reason I bought this DSLR camera was for my holidays in year 2009. I always want to take nice photos of the places/ countries that I visit. Because this is the only way that I get to recall how these places look like as I try not to go to the same countries that I have been to before (well, exceptional for Australia. LKC never been to Australia before).
Well, my photos are not ready to show to the world yet as my photography skill is still suck. Some "lucky" ones got to see it and they commented that "it is good for a beginner". Really thanks for the compliment!! Apart from that, I'm also very lazy to transfer the photos to my laptop. Wait till the memory card gets full...hehehe. 4GB of memory I got, so much space to save. I need to have more outings to brush up my photography skill, be it on day time or night time.

*******************

On the other note, I have not been enjoying my work recently. The main reason is because of the festive season. Oh so many holidays in the month of December cum clearing off annual leave. I'm not in the mood of working!! Shhh...hopefully none from the managerial level is reading this, else my year-end bonus will be "tung kor sui".
I need to have a working week like this:-
Monday - 1st half working from home, 2nd half on-leave
Tuesday - Emergency leave
Wednesday - supposed to work on the 7am shift, but only got up at 6.45am. So working from home for whole day until 3.30pm
Thursday - On sick leave
Friday - Maybe will go to office or work from home/ maybe on 2nd day sick leave
Isn't this the greatest working week? Some of you might know who I'm refering to. I'm not complaining...I'm just jealous. LKC told me I can choose to be like this, but I'm a coward. I'm not that brave as I know I'm not an important person in the company. I still need my salary to pay for my own living expense. My boss can give me a warning letter or worse, a termination letter at anytime if I have this kind of attitude.
I tried to perform well in work. I tried to be helpful to everyone. I tried to put my best effort in work. I tried to be co-operative with everyone. There was one time, I got an email saying that I have attitude problem. I was totally speechless. The hardwork that I put for the past one year was effortless. For a small issue that I didn't want to take the responsibility, I received a complain that I have attitude problem.
I tried to be co-operative for one of the project that I undertake as I was playing one of the major role. They relied heavily on me. If I'm not free on that particular week, the whole project will get delayed. I told them to find someone to mirror me on the things that I did, but no one listened to me. It's really demotivating when the opinions that you voiced out were not accepted. I tried to play some politic game here but I'm not sure how much I can succeed on this game. Lets see how it progress. OMG...I'm revealing too much. Can someone please suggest to blogger to have protected post like WordPress?

Going to SPCA tomorrow, hopefully we manage to find a puppy/ canine that we like there. Bro wants to adopt a Rottweiler to jaga the rumah. While I always want a golden retriever or a Yorkshire Terrier. Last time, I always wanted to buy a puppy from the pet shop. But after visiting the SPCA website, I changed my mind. "Why buy when you can adopt?"...I totally agree to this. Anyway, lets see what we can get from there tomorrow.

I'm totally speechless when it comes to ... sigh. Things don't seem like working out the way I wish, I hope or I want recently. There seems to be hiccups on everything that I do. How!!??

P/s: I hate kiasu people...they will never succeed in their life. Now I know why he's still unmarried at the age of errr...late 30s? Aiya, who cares. So many what if questions in his mind.
What if my wife cannot get pregnant? I have to get a doctor to verify that she is healthy enough.
What is my wife cheat on me? I have to get her to sign a letter in front of a lawyer that she will never cheat on me.
What if my wife die first? I have to let the God knows that she cannot die first.
What if this? What if that?
How to do big business like that?
