Guan Di Restaurant

Guan Di Restaurant serves high-end Chinese cuisine with chef hailing from Guang Zhou. It's something more special than the usual Chinese dining restaurant like Tai Thong or Overseas Restaurant. The restaurant had a delightful ambiance where you can relax yourself while having your meal there.

Guan Di Restaurant

Clean and quiet environment
We ordered 3 dishes for our dinner, 1 meat, 1 fish and vegie. 2 of the dishes were recommended by the waiter, while another dish was ordered by me.

I wanted the Deep Fried China Silver Fish with Salt and Pepper, as I remember trying the china silver fish in one of the restaurant in Shah Alam and it tasted superb. It was very hard to find in any of the restaurants. Some Japanese Restaurant do serve this type of fish but they are always running out of stock.

Deep Fried China Silver Fish with salt and pepper
Priced at RM18.90, the dish was not set up to my expectation. It was kinda tasteless compared to the one that I had in Shah Alam. It was neither salty nor spicy.

Spicy Pork Belly
This dish was recommended by the waiter and LKC enjoyed this dish very much. The pork belly was sliced thinly enough and the taste was very flavourful. Priced at RM18.90 too, it was worth paying the money for this dish than the china silver fish.

Four Season Vegetable
Another dish recommended by the waiter was this Four Season Vegetable. This dish reminds me of the 四大天王, where you can find in most of the Chinese restaurant. Different types of vegetables from different seasons (I think!) were served on this dish, which include fat choy (发菜) (Nostoc flagelliforme), mushrooms, chinese cabbage, siew pak choy and golden needle mushroom (enoki mushroom). and not to forget tomatoes for decoration. The dish tasted so-so only, nothing much. Priced at RM19.90, it was more expensive than the other 2 dishes we had most probably because of the fat choy.

LKC and LPC @ Guan Di Restaurant

White rice was priced at RM1.00 a bowl while the tea was free of charge. The restaurant is subject to 5% government tax and 10% service charge. Worth trying if you're sick of the normal chinese cuisine and also when you're filthy rich. They serve others filthy rich dishes like shark fins and birds' nest.
